Riding a bike is one of the most popular outdoor activities performed today by people of all ages. When riding a bike one should always wear a helmet, especially if they are under the age of 17 or over the age of 60. Helmets protect bike riders from severe head trauma injuries if they should fall onto concrete, pavement or get hit by a motor vehicle when riding their bike.
Riding a bike is an excellent cardiovascular activity performed by people needing to lose weight. Cardiovascular activities are the best way to lose weight because this type of exercising gets the heart rate pumping, burning calories faster from the body. Riding a bike can be done in the morning, the afternoon, or at night. If riding a bike is done at night then the rider should wear reflective clothing so cars can see them. They should also purchase blinking reflectors to place on the front and rear of their bicycle, making it easier for cars to see the bikers.
Biking has been a popular outdoor activity for quite some time now because it is such a fun activity to perform. Biking can also be a sort of sightseeing activity if it is done on scenic trails or in other scenic areas such as Old City Philadelphia, Boston, New York and other large cities with a lot of history to offer its visitors. Biking is also a professional sport. One of the most popular tournaments is the annual Tour de France, which takes place in the middle of the summer in France.

The Jersey Shore is one of the most popular destination spots in the Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and New York areas. People travel from all over the Eastern seaboard to the Jersey Shore when the summer months roll around because they either spent time there as a kid growing up or want to experience exactly what they keep hearing about in the commercials or from their friends.
The Jersey Shore has hundreds of miles of beach to choose from up and down the state for visitors to catch some rays or take a dunk in the Atlantic Ocean. One thing the Jersey Shore is known for is its outdoor activities. From sitting on the beach to swimming in the ocean to kayaking to water skiing to walking on the boardwalk to eating outdoors the Jersey Shore has a lot to offer people with a flare for the outdoors.
Many people that vacation at the Jersey Shore for a week, two weeks, a month or the entire summer hate to turn the air conditioning on in their residence. Why? The fresh air at the Jersey Shore is the best fresh air around. I know this sounds weird but its true. The air smells like salt water and tasty treats. Just walk around the boardwalk in Ocean City. You smell pizza, funnel cake, hoagies, fries and many more tasty treats mixed in with the salt from the ocean. Fresh air is good for all of us and the best place to get it is at the Jersey Shore.

Outdoor activities begin to grow in popularity and numbers as the warmer weather returns to our lives in the spring and the summer. The summer is such a popular time of the year that even the great Frank Sinatra wrote a song about it titled “Summer Wind.” Why is it that summer is so popular among the residents of this great country? One of the reasons is that we can finally enjoy the outdoors again whether that is working on the yard, working on the house, riding bikes, playing basketball, going to the beach, walking the dog, barbecuing or running.
One of the most popular outdoor activities around today no matter what the weather is like is running. People run to stay in shape, to get into shape, or just because it is one of their hobbies. Running is an excellent cardiovascular exercise that gets the heart pumping and can be enjoyable by yourself, with another person, or with your dog. Running can be done in the rain or the sunshine any time of the day.
There is plenty of running equipment available for purchase these days that keep runners safe from oncoming vehicles if they are running on a heavily traveled road. These items include reflective shirts, shoes, shorts, pants, jackets and hats. Other items include blinking lights that can be attached to the front and back of a jacket or sweatshirt for a runner’s safety. Whatever time of the day it is you decide to go for a run always remember to wear colorful and bright clothing so that vehicles can see you.
